Stimulate, challenge, question, explore, create.

My exploratory path as an artist has been driven by a desire to delve into the depths of our collective mind and experience. Through these pursuits, I invite the participant to bridge a path from their inner reality to humanity's unfolding reality by pushing the limits of perception through colour, form, medium, and subject/context. Themes are inspired by social, environmental, gender, justice issues. I wish to invoke a sense of expanded vision, empowerment, and creativity as a viable response to events and conditions that shape us.

Sand, metals, wax, minerals, glass, pigments, binders.

These materials are the foundation of my specific paint making compounds which have emerged from a unique relationship to the earth's natural gifts, travel, historic and cultural paint making traditions, and experimentation.
