Kent Mosaic Mural Project
A community wide 47 foot mosaic mural celebrating Kentfield’s Centennial.
Community partners include the Kentfield historical Society, Kent Middle School, Kentfield School District.
and special thanks to Kentfield Art Department and student artists!
Design
Mural design concepts were provided by students of Kent Middle School and the Kentfield Historic Society. Erin produced the final design with these inspirations.
Classroom production
the 47 foot mosaic mural was designed to be produced in sections on mesh on classroom table tops. The entire student body and many staff and faculty members were all invlvoed. a special thanks to Michele Montgomery, KMS Art Teacher.
Installation to wall site
After many months of classroom prodcution, all the pieces were laid out on a live scale drawing and pieced together. We then adherred all the mosaic design on mesh onto the wall surface and started grouting!
